Apple shields the date trick vulnerabilities in iOS8.1. This loophole has allowed the old console emulator and other unapproved applications to install on iOS devices, without the need to escape. This means that many users love’s GBA emulator will not be used.
iOS application developers discovered the “date spoofing” vulnerability, by simply roll back the date and time on your iOS device, and through the Safari browser to download the application, you can be illegally installed. This allows users to install applications like a class of GBA4iOS, without losing the software update feature.
However, GBA4iOS team found Apple shielded this vulnerability in iOS 8.1 beta. In an article entitled “Apple is slowly killing everything we love”, Dario • Sepulveda wrote,” iOS 8.1 beta has now arrived in the hands of developers, and yesterday it has caused panic for the iOS simulator enthusiasts. ‘Date cheat’ support now simulators communities. Without it, everything looks bleak without light. ”
Installation of simulators and other illegal application does not comply with Apple’s rules. Another way is through jailbreak and use a third-party application store Cydia. But for many people, for a few old games, not worth it.
